Applicants can fill out the appropriate form and provide the necessary documents, but what are some of the eligible factors that will help an applicant to obtain a Cayman Islands visa?
If you are sponsoring a tourist visitor's request for permission to enter the Islands or an extension of that permission, you may be asked to provide a written undertaking that you will be responsible for their accommodation and maintenance during their stay.
Additionally, the law requires that you inform the Director of Customs and Border Control if the tourist visitor fails to depart from the Islands before the permission granted expires.
This notification must be made within twenty-four hours of the permission's expiration.
It's not forbidden to look for employment while visiting the Islands as a tourist. However, the Department of WORC may deny work permit applications for individuals who are on the Islands as tourist visitors.
It's therefore critical to consult with the Department before submitting any work permit applications while on the Island as a visitor.
Visitors should also be aware that no applications for Temporary Work Permits will be considered or approved for persons who entered as visitors unless they have departed and stayed off the Islands.
However, if there are special circumstances, the Director of WORC may grant a Temporary Work Permit to a visitor.
Visitors are allowed to enter the Islands and remain for a maximum period of six months. However, visitors must consider the approved length upon arrival. If needed, an extension can be requested from the Director of Customs and Border Control for up to an additional six months.
