Requirements Checklist
These are general requirements, and every application is different. Some documents may not be required, while additional documents may be recommended based on your individual circumstances. During your appointment, we'll review your application and guide you on the documents needed to help strengthen your application.
- Valid Jamaican passport (valid for at least 6 months beyond intended stay)
- Recent passport-sized photograph (2" x 2", white background)
- Proof of financial means (bank statements, last 3–6 months)
- Proof of employment or business (letter from employer, business registration)
- Evidence of ties to Jamaica (property ownership, family, employment)
- Travel itinerary or letter of invitation from US host
- Previous US visa (if applicable)
- Birth certificate
- Marriage certificate (if applicable)
Important Note
An interview at the US Embassy in Kingston is required for most applicants. The MRV fee must be paid before scheduling your interview.
