Requirements Checklist
These are general requirements, and every application is different. Some documents may not be required, while additional documents may be recommended based on your individual circumstances. During your appointment, we'll review your application and guide you on the documents needed to help strengthen your application.
- Valid Jamaican passport (valid for at least 3 months beyond intended stay)
- Recent passport-sized photograph (35mm x 45mm, white background)
- Travel insurance (minimum EUR €30,000 coverage)
- Return airline ticket or travel itinerary
- Proof of accommodation (hotel bookings or host invitation)
- Bank statements (last 3–6 months showing sufficient funds)
- Proof of employment or business (employer letter, payslips)
- Evidence of ties to Jamaica
- Invitation letter (if visiting family or friends)
Important Note
Applications are submitted to the relevant embassy or consulate of the main destination country. If visiting multiple countries, apply at the embassy of the country where you will spend the most time.
