Requirements Checklist
These are general requirements, and every application is different. Some documents may not be required, while additional documents may be recommended based on your individual circumstances. During your appointment, we'll review your application and guide you on the documents needed to help strengthen your application.
- Valid Jamaican passport
- Job offer letter from a Canadian employer
- Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) or LMIA-exempt offer letter
- Proof of qualifications and work experience
- Proof of financial means
- Medical examination (if required)
- Police certificate (if required)
- Evidence of ties to Jamaica
Important Note
Most work permits require a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) from your Canadian employer. Some categories are LMIA-exempt under international agreements.
